Poetry : Victorian Trinkets

--

~

Plagiarize one self
With the moving
Of a line
And look into
Disguise
Without a stitch
Behind . .

Strobe confections
Fairer disarm

Fallen thread
Cause and effect

Beat of the lips
As a lover sings
Cascade traces
We waltz
Staining
To an image

Waif of servitude
In the camera eye
Servants flowing
Betrayal circumvents
The nature of curvature

Forbidden stream
Players in their
Own dance
. .
Statuesque
Possession
. . .
Sensual
Criminals

Silence of butterfly.

We have left trinkets behind
Another age

Written on september 21st/2004 rewritten on august 24th/2017 and finally completed on march 7th/2023.

Inspired by the film Aimee’ and Jaguar in a scene where these four women of sapphic design are posing for photographs in classical designs.
